"Getting wood into shape"                                 
This refers to what can be achieved with this material, which is a wood-plastic composite, namely the manufacture of a profiled product in one operation. This still rather new combination of materials originated a few years ago in America and has developed successfully in Europe too.

Thanks to the excellent properties of the material, new products are constantly being created for indoor and outdoor use. The advantages over pure wood or plastic are as follows:

• longer service life
• better weather resistance
• greater rigidity and strength
• better moisture resistance
• less thermal expansion
• resistance to rot
• dimensional stability

This material consists primarily of wood fibres (50-80%). The remaining 20-50% is comprised of various plastics and additives. Depending on the application, the composition is adjusted to meet the relevant quality requirements. There is already considerable demand for qualities suitable for outdoor use (e.g. outdoor decking). For interior fittings, profile strips are offered as wood replacement products.
